TEDxNormal Talk: Reclaiming Our Humanity in the Age of the Algorithm

On April 11, 2026, I delivered "Reclaiming Our Humanity in the Age of the Algorithm" at TEDxNormal.

The talk used the example of an Instagram page for my Chicago balcony garden (the Chicago Bell Garden) to explain how algorithms decide what to put in your feed - and how they care more about the velocity and speed of dissemination more than the truth and veracity that human beings care about.

I also provide specific actions to fight back - without unplugging from the internet entirely.
