Work Forward Paradigm | Sales Enablement PRO

Executive Summary
I joined Shauna Simon on the Sales Enablement PRO Podcast to discuss the intersection of communication technology and the evolving "work anywhere" landscape. At the time, organizations were reacting to a global shift in operations, but our conversation focused on the long-term transition from a reactive posture to a proactive "work forward" strategy. We explored how the rich online experiences we create for employees and customers must be as valuable as face-to-face interactions, rather than mere digital carbon copies.
A core focus was the concept of professional persistence. Data across several organizations confirms that it now takes roughly 17 touches to establish a meaningful connection with a prospect. In an era of flooded inboxes, cutting through the clutter requires engaging people across multiple modes—social, text, and phone—while ensuring every message is targeted and meaningful. We also addressed the mechanics of sales productivity. Rather than arbitrary top-down increases, I advocate for setting targets based on evidence and legacy performance. By providing teams with realistic goals and a slight "stretch" factor, leaders can cultivate a culture of winning that sustains long-term growth and employee loyalty. Success in modern revenue leadership is less about micromanagement and more about building a foundation of trust and providing the technological infrastructure for professionals to excel from any location.
