During the November 20th artist's talk and unveiling event for the new Wintrust mural, JD Miller, serving as Board Chair Emeritus of Care for Friends, acted as Master of Ceremonies for the public art unveiling.
Miller interviewed artist David Lee Csicsko and Care for Friends Executive Director Hope Pavich. They emphasized the significance of the partnership with WIntrust, noting the bank's dedication of its prominent platform along the Kennedy Expressway was a tremendous gift to the work of the organization.
They also explored how the art installation translates the nonprofit's core initiatives—including the CarePak grocery delivery program, the on-site medical clinic, and the welcoming meal services—into the vibrant three-panel visual narrative displayed on the building.
